  • Otro is a fiery gem in the food desert that is Phoenix. Sure, you can find good food in PHX ... but rarely do you find a restaurant that does all of it RIGHT! You can taste the freshness + authenticity they infuse into every dish. My favorite things ... Guacamole: prepared fresh to order + so good with their house-made chips + salsa. Tacos: they are all good, but my favorites are their fish + pork belly tacos. Chicken Soup: perfect for when you or a loved one are feeling blue. Paella Mexicana: Full of amazing flavor, great for sharing, and sooo good as leftovers (with an egg in the morning ... yum!) Now I have to share this story about their breakfast .... When my boyfriend and I go out for breakfast, he always gets eggs, bacon, hash browns + 1 pancake. When he ordered the Sampler Breakfast at Otro, I don't think I've ever seen him so satisfied. Eggs were perfectly done. The bacon was seriously the best bacon I've ever tasted - also cooked perfectly. The pancake - omg, slightly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle - served with probably the best maple syrup we've ever had. To get his hash brown fix, he ordered a side of fries ... and WOW. It baffles me that the best fries in PHX are served at a Mexican Restaurant! Ha! Thank you Otro for always satisfying my taste buds + heart! xo, Taylor
