Great music. Great props. I thought there would be more scenery as quite a few scenes were based on the steps that appeared from the floor. They made good use of the props that they had but it would've been nice to have bit more variety.
The children who play Nali and Simba were excellent.
The acoustics in this auditorium does not work as well. The music could be heard well throughout the theatre but it felt like a basic music concert. The arrangement of the music flowed well with the scenes and added to the value.
Mandalay Bay problem: Every show I have been to at other theatres, there is a 10-minute hold of people arriving after the act has begun. As we were sitting in the upper level, the upstairs ushers did not hold tardy individuals. In addition, people were asked to move because they were in the wrong seats. Ushers did not say anything & allowed these people to stand in the aisle during the entire 1st scene. There needs to be more services in the theatre during intermission-restrooms, concessions, etc.
