  • DO NOT GO TO THIS FAILED HOSPITAL FOR ANY REASON! I have been a patient at Summerlin Hospital on three occasions and this is the ugly truth. My first visit was for congestive heart failure and the emergency room staff was so busy watching, cursing, and laughing at a "regular customer" who was on another over dose they ignored everyone else for hours. On my second visit for congestive heart failure, after receiving a defibulator and pacemaker at another hospital, because the doctor in question refused to do the procedure at Summerlin Hospital, then admitted to Summerlin Hospital for congestive Heart failure at night I had a "traveling nurse", which means she travels from city to city never staying long. I had an episode in the bathroom late one night and pulled the emergency cord and after forty five minutes she never came to my aide and I was sure I was going to die. When I informed the floor nurse about this she sent the nursing supervisor to my room to intimidate me so I would not file a complaint with Medicare. On my third visit I had fell and received significant injuries. The Chinese ER doctor was rude and treated me badly. I was asked to sign a document on the third day( I was discharged within two hours),by a Summerlin employee giving my permission to change my status from inpatient to outpatient, I asked her what that was about and she said she was new and did not know. I called my nurse in and she advised me not to sign something I was unsure of and then she got me an outside phone line to call Medicare. Medicare advised me not to sign. As an act of reprisal Summerlin Hospital billed the entire stay as outpatient leaving me a bill for prescription drugs that I had to pay for because Medicare will not these claims for outpatient. Keep in mind on the last day within two hours I was asked to sign a document that the employee did not understand herself . I ask on first and second day what was my status? I have paper work that says inpatient on those days Everyone is aware of Medicare and outpatients and how the claims are paid. I had to pay the drug charges out of pocket because someone was going to get even with me because I asked a question and still did not get a answer. Do not believe those friendly advertisements that come in the mail, this hospital is staffed with the most incompetent and hateful health workers in America. I felt like an inmate the whole time I was there, on every occasion. Summerlin Hospital is not your friend. I ask why have they been sued so many times and why do some doctors refuse to go there? BEWARE!
