Four stars for Matt's Big Breakfast is high praise. I'm selective with my enthusiastic brunch recommendations. This is the kind of place that will appeal naturally to men.
Portions were large and lines were long. Even on a Monday morning at 9 am, we waited on a table for two seemingly forever before ultimately taking a seat at the bar. Judging by all the baseball paraphernalia on fellow patrons, Spring Training and the World Baseball Classic were clearly a major influencing factor on the crowds. Perhaps other times of the year will be slower? I can't imagine trying to land a table on a weekend.
As for the food, I liked my omelete but the hash browns were the standout. I am almost frightened by what must have been done to the hash browns to get them to taste so good.
