I've been twice this year and the experiences I had a differ so much. The first time there were hardly any animals outs and the ones that were out were also asleep. I few days later I read on Pinterest that the animals will be more active on colder days so that they can warm themselves up - so I took the kids I nanny back once it got colder out and the animals were much more active. There really isn't anything the zoo can do but this zoo just pales in comparison to the Columbus zoo.
So a little hint for others who want to come: wait till it gets a little cooler out!
But my favorite part & the kids' favorite part was the rainforest section! The people who work in this section are so incredibly friendly and helped with doors when I was pushing the stroller which was so thoughtful. They also gave a stamp - even though it wasn't needed - to the kids just because they really wanted one.
