  • So... it was time to get a new mattress. And shopping for a mattress just isn't High on my list of things I enjoy doing. It feels like car shopping ... you have a sales guy that either follows you around (stalking you) hoping you are going to buy something or you have to search for one that knows anything or isn't creepy when helping you. GREG was Fantastic! The perfect mix of sales and giving the customer space. He was truly a warm, genuine, friendly, easy-going person. You can't really teach this.... he didn't bombard us, and he treated us like friends and spoke to us honestly. He shared the information about the different mattresses and the color coding. He didn't push us towards the most expensive mattress. He listened to us and what we liked and what we didn't like. He encouraged us to try a few out. He didn't try to immediately "close". He gave us space. For me... that's huge because if you "crowd me"... I'm outta there. We did leave for a bit to go to another store and then have lunch. The husband and I discussed the mattresses we'd seen and tried, and decided Greg was the one to buy from, so we went back the same day to MattressFIRM. There was a bit of paperwork and setting up delivery options... all in all... I think it took 15-20 minutes. Pretty easy. Delivery was scheduled at the time we purchased the mattress so I knew when to expect it. I didn't have to wait for another person to call me to set up delivery. The delivery window was 7pm-10pm on a Monday night... and my worry was that they would come at 10pm. But they didn't! They called a few minutes before 8pm and said they were like 10 minutes away. And they were. They took the old mattress and box springs and set up the new ones so FAST! I think it took me longer to actually make the new bed than it took them to deliver. And they took away all the wrappings and trash too!
