| - Alfred Angelo and my stylist Deb turned me into a bride.
I tried on wedding dresses at David's Bridal as my first stop earlier this year and I left completely let down, slightly insulted and very anxious. I thought that maybe there was "no perfect dress" and I should just get the one their stylist put me in because it fit. Wrong. Fortunately my bridesmaid talked me out of it and made an appointment for me at Alfred Angelo before I gave up. I was scheduled with Deb and it couldn't have been a better match. She instantly heard my very vague ideas of what dress I'd like and turned it into a reality. Not only that but she was incredibly genuine. I could tell when a dress actually looked good on me because she told me when they DIDN'T look good. She had me mostly try on dresses from their modern vintage line and finally I started seeing myself as a bride. I already knew that I needed my mom to be with me to make the final decision so there was no pressure the purchase that day.
At my second appointment, I had my trusty bridesmaid, my mom, my FMIL and my grandparents in tow. Of course, everyone wants to see what THEY think will look good on me and I had no problem with that. Deb was pulling dresses left and right to indulge their styles but still stayed true to what I wanted. Finally, the third to last (of 10???) dresses that night was "THE DRESS." I knew it, she knew it, but just to make sure, we put on the last of the dresses. Finally, I had made my decision and I'm once again excited to continue planning my big day. With Deb's help, I'm feeling confident that my vision for my wedding will come true.
Before the end of my appointment, she had called over the seamstress to talk sizing and which alterations I should expect. Overall, my whole experience at Alfred Angelo and with Deb as my stylist was fantastic. I'm looking forward to my dress coming in this summer and wearing it to marry the guy of my dreams!
