At the suggestion of our hotel clerk we stopped to eat at this restaurant on a recent visit to the Pittsburgh area. Just to be fair, it was Father's Day when we ate there. We were really surprised when we were seated immediately since the restaurant was very busy. Once seated we waited approximately 20 minutes before someone even asked if anyone was taking care of us. The waitress looked very frazzled. We started by ordering drinks, iced tea and a club soda with lemon. The waitress forgot the lemon for the club soda. Next we ordered our dinners. My husband and I ordered the bourbon braised pot roast served over mashed potatoes and our friend ordered chicken parmigiana. The dinners came with either soup or salad. Our friend ordered potato soup, but the waitress brought crab soup. She never brought the bread and butter that she said she would, another waitress got it for us once we asked. The dinners came out and the waitress tells us they are all out of mashed potatoes, would we like a baked potato instead. Not sure why she waited until the dinners came out to tell us. We were disappointed that she told us so late in the order. The pot roast was tender, but a little burnt with very little gravy and vegetables. It certainly lacked something without the mashed potatoes. The baked potato that she brought was way over cooked and we had to wait 5 minutes after she served our dinners, plus she forgot to bring the sour cream. Our friend said his chicken parmigiana was fine. There did not seem to be any communication between the cook staff and the waitress. Even though you are busy it's no excuse for sub par food and service.
