| - There are better choices in budget hotels in this area. The best thing about this hotel is its close proximity to the highway, pharmacies, gas stations, and area restaurants. One would expect a budget hotel to be no-frills, but the accommodations here are even less than bare.
I checked-in during a chilly and rainy spring night. I had hoped just to have a comfortable overnight stay, but the room felt a bit like a prison cell. The bedding and top cover were very thin, the floors were cold, bare faux wood--no mat to even wipe your feet after being out in the rain. there was nothing on the walls, the desk had deep scratches in it, and the small refrigerator looked like it came from a scratch-and-dent sale. It was pretty ragged.
I found the bathroom to be cramped and the tub was old and nasty. The chrome of the spigots in the tub and sink looked very worn and even pitted. The bottom of the tub was covered with an aftermarket no-slip surface and looked like it may be covering chipped or worn porcelain.
There was a lot of foot traffic back-and-forth through most of the night, and I heard every bit of it.
I wasn't expecting a mini Ritz, but this place looked like it needed some serious attention. The night and early morning desk personnel were very nice, but I hated my room. I needed a second night, but went to the Motel 6 on the other side of the street and it was FAR nicer, cleaner, and more updated.
