  • This is my first summer in my own house, so I didn't know all the ins and outs of how the watering system works, but plants seemed to be drying out, so I contacted them to take a look at the sprinkler/irrigation system. Someone came to check everything for a quote when I wasn't home, said I needed 3 valves replaced at a cost of $125 each. The whole system worked in the spring, so it seemed weird to me that 3 valves would have gone out. I asked which 3 valves (I have 5) and didn't get a straight answer. I tested them manually and they all worked, so I couldn't understand what the problem was. They never called me, all this was over email, and it just didn't make sense to me, so I got a second opinion. The second company found there wasn't really anything wrong, just needed to reset the zones and timers so the right areas were getting the right amount of water. He said, in terms of preventative maintenance, I could replace the rubber gaskets in the valves, but none of them were failing right now. He also replaced a couple of sprinkler heads with different ones that would provide the right amount of water flow for the plants they were on, but he didn't even charge me for those. Total charge $65 plus $15 each for the replaced gaskets, which was my choice to go ahead and have done, but he was clear that they didn't need to be replaced right this minute. So glad I got a second opinion!! These guys wanted $375 to replace valves that didn't need replacing. Way to take advantage of a new homeowner!
