  • LGBTQI committee social-we booked for 15 at 5pm and it was pretty empty with a lot of screens when we got there. Filled right up. $5 for 5 ounces of wine for happy hour. The food was disappointing-panini bread was hard, apple and brie was sweet but uninteresting. Fries were fine. Fried cheese sticks and red sauce were bland; could have been so much better with a little less frying and a spicier sauce. Massive chunks of fresh veg for the crudite plate, but had to ask for dip. Literally I couldn't get the cauliflower in one bite. All of it was a bit expensive for mediocre, though fresh, food, but not crazy expensive (panini was $12).Drinks were the usual, but you don't come to a sports bar for cocktails. A lot of hard surfaces so loud but okay. You could talk to the people around you. So why three stars? A nice vibe (great to watch a game with other queers) and very good service. Even though there were a lot of us and another large party and several other tables, the food and drinks were fast, the servers remembered who got what, and they were very pleasant. They gave us each a little Striker fireball, which was a lovely touch. I would go again, perhaps with fewer expectations re food. They should consider getting spiced nuts and other salty munchies.
