I brought my ring in here to have the prongs redone and replace a diamond that I lost. The man who helped me told me it would cost $400 and my new diamond would have a lifetime warranty. I was supposed to pick up my ring on January 8th. When I arrived on that date, my ring was not ready. I had driven 10 miles to pick up the ring and it was not ready. When I went back 2 days later, as they instructed me, my ring was ready, but they told me there was no warranty on the diamond. I asked to speak to a manager, and she was not there. To make a long story short, after a lot of complainimg on my pat, they mailed me a "courtesy warranty. " this was basically a piece of paper written on saying my diamond was under warranty, when it was not. I'd take my ring into other Kay Jewelers to have it inspected (to keep the warranty valid), and they would tell me the diamond was not under warranty! I'll never shop at Kay's again.
