| - I have some hair. No really. I have some serious hair. (Think, curly--3A/3B.) The kind that the uninitiated stylist gasp and say, "You got some hair." Yeah, I know that. Me and my hair have been together for a while. Having said that, finding a good stylist is key to handling my hair--and sometimes my hair sanity. A friend, who has some hair herself, turned me onto Be Inspired, and through the salon, I met Anna. Anna knows how to handle my hair. I am more sane these days.
Be Inspired specializes in curly hair cuts ala Deva Curl techniques and products. I don't know what Anna does when she cuts my hair, but it looks great. It does take a little finagling on my part to get it look as good as she, but I manage (per Anna's directions: put in product--in my case a combination of style cream and gel, working from the back of my head forward; once in, pile hair and squeeze moisture into my hair; using a microfiber towel, scrunch hair to remove some of the moisture; find a messy part and curl some hair around my fingers; done). Most of my family (who are super critical) and friends say my hair looks good, so that's saying something.
The only reason for the four stars--it's hard to get in for an appointment and they aren't cheap. I am not opposed to spending some money if it's a good cut and color, but I'm spending more here than when I lived in Chicago. But seriously, my hair looks good.
