  • Phoenix is a great alternative to some of the more mainstream coffee places in town. Not that their bad but Phoenix has an extra touch of personalized service which is no nonsense as they move quickly. There are two flavors of coffee El Salvador (light roast) and Blackburst (dark roast) served 14 ways. They feature big cookies and other confectionaries and cold beverages as an added bonus. They don't waste wooden coffee stirrers rather you use a clean spoon and put the used one in a separate container. That's smart. They have 17 two- tops and two rows of stragglers so there's plenty of room to hang out and work if you need to. Lots of big windows facing Coventry. Music is low and the atmosphere is chill and relaxing. The subway tile, old time incadescent lighting and reclaimed wood is a nice touch. 2 unisex bathrooms so there's no waiting or political issues. Enjoy!
