  • I wish this gym was better, but it's got a few damning flaws. I'll start by saying that it's a great facility, with overall great staff. What it's majorly lacking is A/C to keep it cool enough to boulder. I saw they installed a new unit recently.... But the ducting and/or the unit isn't cutting it. I've had enough sweaty, greasy bouldering to say that Focus is a fall/spring kind of bouldering gym... Lol. My other minor gripes are the limited training areas (no systems board), small/uninteresting toprope walls (why is that even there?), and mediocre routesetting/holds. No military discount, but they do have a student discount... Which is also off-putting. I'd say one of those groups deserves a discount over the other. Focus picked wrong.
