Heard so much about this place and was looking for an authentic German restaurant for my mom who's from Germany. I stopped by on 7/6/16 to get something to go. She wanted Weiner schnitzel so I ordered that with sauerkraut instead of the German potatoes.
When we opened the container at home, the sauerkraut had a very strong smell. The Weiner Schnitzel was a piece of veal breaded and fried- no flavor- none. Both the breading or the meat itself. The sauerkraut was very strong smelling and had a strong sour taste. The other side dish was a warm cabbage & cream dish. It Was passable. It also came with a soup, not sure what the name was, but it was a brown thickened beef flavor with a bit of onion. Kind if sweet & sour?? It was okay. I didn't care for the meal and my mom said she didn't either. She said the sauerkraut shouldn't be strong smelling or so sour tasting.
As for the restaurant, it was empty, no patrons, but it was clean. I was greeted warmly as I walked in, but nothing after that.
I will not return and maybe others love the food, but as you can see from my picture, it didn't even look appealing!
