I'm a week out from my PRK and am not enjoying the contact still being in. It is what it is though. Whatever the results of the procedure, my review of the Schwartz Laser Eye Center won't be affected. I went for my eval and had the greatest assistant walk me through it. She was informative and was able to answer most of my questions almost to exactly what Schwartz said. I met with Dr. Schwartz and he was nicer than the first physician I had Lasik through, and more patient as well. The procedure went as smooth as one can expect for Lasik.
On my follow up appointment, the physician I was handed off to is what has made all the difference in my review. After doing my exam he seemed perplexed, and was writing more than I thought necessary for a normal exam. Then he said we were done. As far as he was concerned that was the end of the discussion. I asked if he saw anything and he told me it was a discoloration on my eye. Then I had to drag what it was out of him. Then what this could mean. If I hadn't kept hounding him for information, I would have been completely surprised by the phone call I got later telling me I needed to take my antibiotics every hour until I saw him the next day.
It's lucky for me that I work with physicians and have no problems pushing them to give me information. Otherwise I'd probably still be in the dark regarding what was going on.
Would I recommend Schwartz? Absolutely. Just know you're not going to get the same kind of treatment from the other physicians as you will from Schwartz himself or his assistants.
