The thing that bothers me the most at grocery stores is when you're checking out and they don't even see you and they talk amongst themselves about their breaks and when they are scheduled for tomorrow. This happened today at the Summerlin Smiths. I have just moved across from Albertsons on Buffalo but liked the Rainbow Smiths so much that I thought I'd check this store out today. I guess I found things easy enough for a new store but it is laid out strange. The five minutes I was checking out was less than desirable. Not only did the clerk Taylor not even look at me, but the manager made it hard for her to speak to me since he was talking to her the whole time about schedules and time off. I bring my own bags and he was bagging my stuff like it was his laundry, throwing things in there like he had no sense. My large hamburger package went in the cloth bag without any plastic bag around it (now I have to wash it) and then he placed my fruit and veggies on top of it with cereal boxes too. My two very large cloth bags could have held all of the groceries if they would have put any thought into it. Before I walked away I asked if my milk could be in a bag and he grabbed it from me and placed it in a bag and threw it in my cart. After going to my trunk and repacking everything nicely, I realized that I wouldn't be back. The only nice thing about the store was the meat clerk who was nice enough to walk around the counter and hand me my salmon. I would not recommend this store.
