Salsa was basically spaghetti sauce, no heat or discernible flavors. My horchata was the worst I've tried, it tasted extremely watered down and like it was made from powder. However, partner ordered a jamaica drink and his was perfectly fine. We also ordered the pinto bean dip and it was fine. The pico de gallo on top didn't really add anything in terms of flavor.
I ordered the carnitas plate (shredded pork, rice, beans) and my partner ordered the veggie taquitos with black beans. My dish didn't really blow me away, it tasted alright but nothing to gush about. My partner was impressed with his taquitos, which were stuffed with assorted veggies like sweet potatoes and zucchini. I tried a bite and it was indeed good.
This place could be improved, the rice tasted a bit bland and it's one of the few Mexican restaurants in town with vegetarian options. Service was good, our waiter was prompt and polite and our food came out super fast, although we did arrive two hours before closing and there wasn't any wait for tables.
