Butterworth took trees down for next door neighbor. I was watching closely as I needed some tree work as well & thought it was a perfect way to decide if he would be an option for me. While taking down neighbors tree, he dropped a large branch & missed ht open space lawn but instead hit my fence & broke it to where it was leaning! Albeit the fence was aged but it wasn't leaning or broken. I spoke to him about it & that's when he VIOLENTLY shook the post and yelled at me that it was an old broken fence! It may have been old but not broken...until he dropped part of the tree on it. I was taken back by his aggressive behavior & speech when he told me it wasn't his fault that the post is now broken. Ummmm.... it was standing straight and it didn't wiggle when it was shaken until the large branch he dropped on it!
My neighbor of 15 years felt so badly that she asked what she could do to fix it. It wasn't her fault & she shouldn't have to be held responsible for his actions.
I find it so ironic that is the section on here about Mr Butterworth he states: Pet peeve is zero collateral damage. It may be his pet peeve, but when he damages something he makes all effort to clear himself of any responsibility because I was NOT the customer, my neighbor was. Regardless of the fact that he missed his aim with part of the tree!.
The next day I stopped and asked if he was the owner & he replied he was and asked if I was still angry..... seriously? just add some lighter fluid to those embers!! He then added that it was my fault he got so angry!! You decide if you want him doing your work & if you value your neighbor
