| - As with most everything else at the Wynn/Encore properties, this steakhouse isn't necessarily cheap to dine at, but it's exceptional, and it's worth it!
I came here with a group of 10 at 9:30 on a Friday night for dinner. We were seated in a private dining area due to the size of our group and the amount of patrons who were in this restaurant when we arrived at our reserved time, but the main dining area and portico have an amazing view of the waterfall, pond and folliage-filled area that make up the "Lake of Dreams" just outside this restaurant where the color and texture of the waterfall seems to change every few minutes (due to some high tech projection technology), and a "show" plays out I believe every 30 minutes that features music, even more projection and some very cool effects.
Appetizers (salads, crab cakes, tuna civiche, oysters, etc.) average about $21 each, main courses (chicken, fish, lamb, scallops) will run about $40 each, most steaks are in the ball park of $60, and sides to go with your meat or main course are about $12 per side. An interesting note is that there are a number of vegan options on the menu, which can be a rare find at a steakhouse.
The service was incredible - The staff were obviously professionally trained, polished and were thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu; the food was excellent and the aforementioned atmosphere was pretty amazing as well.
In all, the SW Steakhouse may not be the cheapest dining option in Vegas, but it's well worth it in my opinion, and is definitely a treat in many regards.
