I would say this park is great for a tot 2 and a half and up to about 14 years old or so.
We went later in the day so we rarely had to wait in line for rides (and the lines we did wait in went quick). The staff we encountered were polite and friendly at the rides and food kiosks. Just a note that some food kiosks close earlier than the park.
Food prices are nuts like most places, however, that doesn't make it fair. (Approx. prices: Hot dog $4.60, Chicken Strips 5.00, Fries $5.00). At Six Flags in Montreal, at LaFleur's you can get a hot dog for $1.00,...). We were hoping to eat at the Dockside Diner but it just a food stand, not an actual diner. I would bring lunch & snacks. We ate before and snacked on chicken strips, fries, and a hot dog among the three of us from the Calaway Cafe. Food was ok...nothing special. We splurged on a Sundae ($6.25) and a bottle of water ($3.75).
Admission pricing is fair for kids but the adults ($46.xx) is way too much. I could go to La Ronde in Montreal for a little more than that and I has better rides for 10 years old and up (and it is a Six Flags). Same deal for Canada's Wonderland,...hint: go after 2 pm and pay half price. Like other reviews: consider buying a season's pass at Co-op
Bring cash for games.
Would have liked to go to the gift shop but it closed at 7 when the rides stopped. Calaway Park should consider keeping it open until 8 pm so people can stop in on their way out.
