| - Honestly, I'm on the fence with how to review this place.
Pros:
-Cheap prices.
-Wide selection of meats, cheeses, and produce.
-Close to home, so I can just walk to buy what I need.
-Received money back and a replacement of blueberries when I returned some moldy raspberries.
-Rotating selection of goods.
Cons:
-They often have moldy raspberries.
-I have had red spider mites crawl out of a bowl of berries that I was eating.
-Rotating selection of goods.
If you forget to bring a quarter for a cart, you can pick up a box and load your items into it. I have actually had fellow shoppers help me load my items into a box, or even get me a cart while shopping here. Everyone from customers to staff are very friendly.
You do have to watch out for the produce, especially the berries, but if there is ever an issue, you can just bring it back with a receipt and get your money back and a replacement item.
They do rotate what they sell. At one point, I found a knockoff brand of my Sony headphones that I am in love with. My headphones had completely stopped working on one side, but the style was the most comfortable I had ever found. It would cost me close to $30 to get a new pair, but Aldi had the exact style for $7. I snatched it up, but when I thought about buying several more to have on hand, they had already rotated their stock. For a small store, changing things up does keep it interesting, but it can also be a problem in situations like mine where you want to make a repeat purchase.
All in all, if you're on a tight budget and don't mind meticulously checking the quality of your produce, this could be a good place for you. Just don't forget a quarter, some bags, and to bring a debit card or cash.
