| - Amazing service and patient respect!
I required emergency room services and decided to use Mountain Vista Medical Center, since it was closest to my house and new providers. They have the option for online check-in and will also post their wait times, which was 0 minutes. I opted for check-in that was only 90 minutes away. Previously, we used another popular network hospital, but we were growing tired of the lack of patient respect, wait times, and lack of urgency. I admit I was guarded at first, especially when I had back pain. I had major reconstructive back surgery to include two spinal fusions, so many hospitals don't like back pain patients or think these patients may be seeking drugs. I admit I was nervous from how I would be treated. I arrived and was promptly greeted and checked-in. The paperwork for new patient took less than 5 minutes and I went to triage less than 10 minutes after that. I was triaged and then sent to my room, which never happens at the other place. Before we could really settle in, the P.A. (Andrea) came in to assess me. Andrea was amazing. She listened to my whole story and never rushed me. I honestly felt like I was being taken seriously. She asked relevant questions, took charge, and stated her course of action. Within 15 minutes after that, Trina S. (nurse) came in the room. The Customer Service just got better. She started an IV and I had meds on board quickly, thus saving me from more pain. I discovered that she taught college courses where I attend my Master's program, so we talked about that as well. She was very kind, funny, and honest, which put me at ease and my mind off the pain. From check-in to pain relief actions, it was only about an hour. I also had other tests, so I expected to be there for a long time. I was to start a job the next day, so I was begging for fast service. From check-in up until to leaving the building, it only took us exactly 3 hours. That simply does not happen, especially at the other large network near there. The facility was clean as well. I suggest dropping off the patient at the door as normal parking is about 100 yards away. I can't complain at all and if I ever need services again, this will be my new hospital of choice. Hats off the Andrea and Trina for the patient advocacy, empathy, and respect!
