Located inside an airport for small planes, the free International Women's Air and Space Museum will appeal mostly to extreme aviation buffs. The terms "International" and "Museum" might make it seem more grandiose than it actually is. The casual visitor might need 30 minutes if they were resolute in reading all of the displays, but you and your family may find yourself walking the length of displays in about 10 minutes, nodding reverently, and then heading out.
The displays appear earnest and might be informative for the interested, but most are dated. Unique items (such as Amelia Earhart's scarf) will probably thrill few people, and some items on display are (understandably) recreations. My family found some interest in a display about a Coke dispenser in space and an old display of space food.
The environment works against the museum. On a Sunday, the place was deserted, and the displays are situated in one large room and down a hallway that are both home to "real" airport offices (like a flight school office).
There is $6 parking in a lot directly in front of the airport. Avoid the unmanned lot across the service road which is more expensive and very inconvenient.
