okay for a stop-in lunch when you're starving but not a place to go for taste or service.
i had two hot dogs and poutine and the boyf had a chicken sandwich. i'll say that the portions are huge, which is appealing to an american like me. however, the food was not inspiring enough to eat all or even most of it. the poutine was okay, but a little too heavy on the msg.
the chicken sandwich was actually pretty good. i usually don't like chicken because it's dry and flavorless, but the gravy on it (different from the gravy on the poutine; the sandwich one tasted tomato-based).
so the food was not great, but maybe expected from a place like that. but the service was non-existent. we literally saw our waitress twice - once take out order and once to run our credit cards. you just can't serve msg-heavy foods without coming back to refill the water. and it was not busy. she was friendly and polite, but just not there.
oh one more thing. if you get a chance (here or elsewhere), top your hot dog with poutine and coleslaw. delicious!
