!!!BUYER BEWARE!!! Highly unethical business practices in place here. I purchased 2 sofas (which I measured to ensure they would fit into my townhouse) and paid for delivery. Delivery men arrived and halfheartedly tried to bring the sofas through the front door which they couldn't clear due to a bathroom wall blocking clearance. I asked them to try the back door as it was wide open without obstruction. They refused. I paid $80 delivery (and I live 2 kms from the store) and they refused to invest any effort in attempting to deliver the sofas I purchased. It was raining out and they clearly didn't like getting wet. They gave up. I asked for a refund and was offered $260.80 of the $406.77 I paid.
I feel it is completely unfair that I as a consumer would be expected to accept a $145.97 loss for their delivery men's lack of motivation, skill and effort.
I should add I had to wait over 6 days (ensuring that I would fall out of their "policy restrictions") to get my delivery, even though I literally live 2 kms from the store.
I have a small claims court case open to try and get my full refund of what I paid. Will update my review with the ruling (mediation scheduled for September 2017)
In the meantime, to my fellow consumers... be cautious of any purchase, especially if using their delivery service.
***edit*** - sept 6, 2017 - No one from source liquidations showed up to small claims court. They've been ordered to pay $100 before Oct 31st.
it is absurd how much more money this is going to cost them if they continue... rather than just refund my money for their delivery men's laziness... unreal
