| - For Clark County residents, there's definite value if you can find a rate $40 and under. I've played 18 for $28 mid week. Also, keep an eye out for twilight rates. The course's website posts special locals rates and you should be able to find a good rate on third party sites.
Nothing like beating a dead horse, but I will. Playing target golf requires local knowledge. So if you're a first time player, the cart GPS is OK, but if you need more detailed information, I'd consider buying the course book. There's also flyovers of every hole on the course's website but I don't think they depict elevation change accurately.
There are plenty of blind shots and forced carries which if you miss, your ball is a goner. The starter will pick which two nines you will play. Desperado and Diablo are more desert nines with a fair share of holes built in the arroyo. Outlaw is a tad more open with more grass.
The course has always been well kept when I've played. The staff has always been friendly. If you play on the weekend, expect a busy course that is playing slow. Prepare yourself for a possible 5 hour round. If your play is slow, you'll have time to look at some of the extravagant homes lining the course.
I wouldn't recommend the course for high handicappers playing here for the first time. If you're a sharp shooter, make sure you review the course set up and have your yardages down. I'm a hack, but have played the course enough to be able avoid the deep doo-doo, so I'll keep coming back when I find a killer rate.
