| - Caribbean Pools just finished building a gorgeous pool for me and I am so happy right now. If I could give them 10 stars, I would, because they absolutely deserve it. They went above and beyond to build us a beautiful pool in nearly record time and they made sure we were satisfied every step of the way. I am posting photos of my pool, the yard is still in progress. This review is long but this company deserves a detailed review, so as a prospective future customer, you can make an informed decision to use them as your pool builder with the utmost of confidence. It can be very scary when deciding who you are going to trust with one of the largest investments you will make in your lifetime. I can assure you that choosing Caribbean Pools will be the smartest decision you can make.
When I first contacted Caribbean Pools, I explained that I was looking for a quick build because the pool would mainly be used for medical/physical therapy on my legs (I have MS) and I needed to get started on my therapy regimen asap due to muscle memory issues, so time was of the essence. Josh Smithey, our salesperson, really pushed to get us started immediately and helped us get everything together so the permits would not be an issue. He designed a breathtakingly beautiful pool and decking area, giving us what we wanted, within our tight budget. He did not try to pressure us into buying anything extra and even made many money-saving suggestions.
Pricing and Value: We received quotes from 6 other companies ranging from $23K - $28K (including permit and taxes) for a 75' perimeter, free-form pool with 320 sf. of decking, a sheer decent water feature, and all the trimmings. Caribbean beat them all and included many features as standard that the others charged for.
Build Time: All the builders quoted about the same build time, BUT Caribbean was the only pool builder that was able to start right away.......we were quoted up to 60 days before the other builders would even break ground, with an average of 30 days from the time of signing to the time of excavation. We signed with Caribbean on March 16, 2016 and they were excavating on March 21st!! Our pool was completed May 5, 2016, so we are talking about 6 weeks from start to finish! I would say that is more than impressive, especially when the other builders would just now be starting excavation....I am already swimming!
HINT: A word of advice.....if you have an HOA, make sure you get your permission letter now, that will be one thing that can really hold you up and most cities need it before they will issue a permit. If you are looking into building a pool right now, take care of this first thing so it does not slow you up later on when you are ready to get started.
Communication and Follow-Through: Kathi Johnson was our main contact through this whole process and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. In fact, she deserves a raise! :-) She kept me sane and calm through this entire process and really went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and kept me constantly updated. There is nothing worse than feeling ignored and she made sure I was always in the loop and my questions and concerns were immediately addressed and taken care of.
Supervision: The site supervisor was always walking around in the back yard, checking the progress, measuring and making sure all work was performed perfectly and to the exact specifications. There were a couple of times he found small issues but he had them taken care of immediately.
Contractors: All the contractors that Caribbean sent to work on our pool were great. They were on time, courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and dealt with my 20 thousand questions about everything under the sun.
I just cannot say enough good about them! There are a lot of choices out there when it comes to choosing a pool builder, and when you finally make the decision to get things started, the last thing you want to do is sign a contract and then sit and wait for 2 months before any work is started. Caribbean is on the ball and let me tell you, once they get started, they are like a locomotive barreling through the process, making sure everything is perfect, every step of the way. You will be hard pressed to find a more dependable and professional pool builder, in fact, I doubt there is one that can top Caribbean Pools. I would recommend them again and again!
