My wife and I stayed here during the Waterfront Festival. We checked in on a Thursday and out on the Sunday.
The hotel is pretty nice, but is also currently undergoing some renovations in the main lobby, and there's some major construction on the street out front. Their web site warned about the lobby construction in advance.
This was a partial belated anniversary trip and mini vacation for us, so when I booked the room online I chose one with a waterfront view. Upon arriving at the hotel I was notified that we were upgraded to a Studio suite at no extra charge (they didn't know it was an anniversary trip) The room was clean and very nice.
The Wifi was free for up to three devices but according to their website they will be charging later this summer unless you're a Club Carlson member. I personally think that's a mistake.
The location of the hotel was perfect for the Waterfront Festival. We were within walking distance of pretty much everything which was great because all of the construction along Queens Quay was a really big deterrent for driving. If you're going to head into downtown, you will put some mileage on your shoes though. :)
I didn't check out the pool, but but sister in-law and her boyfriend did and said it was nice.
Parking was onsite, and cost $20 extra per night.
