Girasole is an incredibly cute and cozy restaurant with a beautiful romantic theme. I've been dying to try Girasole for quite some time and was pleased with the atmosphere. The food was decent but the taste was not anything to drive me back. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful with choosing items off of the menu. She was probably the best part of our experience. I ordered the Gnocchi and it wasn't bad but it didn't really knock my socks off; I felt like I could have made the same dish at home with store sauce. We also ordered a Burrata appetizer which was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the Linguine with clams and had the same "average" experience. The taste of the food was like something I'd order at a pizza shop, for half the price.
I think it's a good early-stages of dating place because the lights are dim and it gives off a romantic vibe. The food being a pretty basic taste level would also ensure that each partner is at least satisfied.
I could easily see it being overcrowded because it is a small space. We went on a Thursday night at 8 and didn't have problems getting a seat.
I tried Girasole and scratched it off my list, but I don't really think I would come back.
