  • Let's put it this way, for the price you pay, you would expect better everything. This would be my second time staying at this Sheraton. Each time I stay, I stay for a week. I've also tried the Aloft hotels both in Scottsdale and the Phoenix airport, and honestly, I would rather stay at the Phoenix airport Aloft. The people are friendlier there, and though the rooms aren't as large, you are also not paying for every single thing (i.e. parking, packages being sent to you to the hotel address, etc.) The thing that prompted me to write this not so positive review was that I was given a room with a metal object lodged in the bathroom outlet. I've been taught from a young age to never touch a metal object that is stuck in an electrical plug and to never put a metal object in the plug in the first place. In my case, it seemed like a hair tool prong got stuck and somehow, when the room was getting cleaned and prepared for the next guest, housekeeping thought it was perfectly normal to have a metal object stuck in the electrical outlet and didn't think to have maintenance come check it out before the next guest was assigned the room. I would think that guest safety and peace of mind would be important to this hotel. Apparently not, because the Guest Services individual I spoke to on the phone didn't seem the least bit alarmed by my discovery. I am writing this review and waiting for the maintenance/facilities person who is taking far longer than they should. At the time of writing this sentence, I've been waiting 25 minutes. During my prior stay, something as basic as a phone, was not connected. The 2 phones in my room both didn't work and so facilities had to be called. You would think that paying $190/night or more would mean that you have a half decent room that is clean with the super basic things working. Apparently not that this hotel. They know they will always have business due to their location so they think it's ok to slack off with their room quality.
