| - For my review, I really didn't know what star to give this place so it gets 2.
My review, is strictly on going to school. NOT ANY TREATMENTS.
If I can describe NLI in one word it would be......Misleading.
I'm going to take part of the responsibility here, maybe I should have done more research in this industry and maybe I should of asked more questions.
Unless you have the money to purchase a laser for Tattoo Removal do not take this Tattoo Removal Class. If you're an average Joe like myself looking for a career change, keep looking. I spent $5500 on 10 days of school, and six months later in the same boat I was before I attended. The other guys that went to school with me are in the same situation.....We are un-hireable. Yes there may be an industry for this but UNLESS you know a Dr and have 100K for a laser you are going no where. The only Laser company that will talk to you is the laser company that is affiliated with the school. (Quanta). When the owner Louis was talking to the class he would only field answers that had to do with Quanta.....we asked about a different laser and he QUICKLY shot the question down and changed subjects.......(My first red flag with NLI)
The classes are easy.....too easy. The first 5 days of classes are a joke. You get maybe 6 hours of useful information, the rest of the time is countless unrelated questions by various students, and the constantly interrupting "ME" girl that every situation pertains too. Take advantage of the coffee.....a lot. It's the only thing that can keep you awake most days. Students can come an go as they please, bathroom breaks, coffee, smoking, snacks whatever......there is always someone walking out of class.
Hands on class were the best part of the school....FINALLY we get to do what we came for...kinda. Some classes are a big party and joking laughing and completely unprofessional....some are strict and to the point, THANK YOU MONICA! Shelly the Tattoo instructor is great and full of knowledge, take everything you can from her and ask her a ton of questions.......but don't forget, she's in the hip pocket of the school, her answers are sometimes biassed.
Again, if you plan on going to school, MAKE SURE you ask questions. Do your research!!! Are there REALLY jobs for you when you get out? IS THERE a market for what you paying money to learn about? What ever the person tells you on the phone, research what ever he/she told you. This was my fault, I should of done so.
