| - I thought the show was great. The GF and I went here because our hotel (Luxor) offered us a promotion for this show and Zumanity, like a two for one deal (before TAXES and SERVICE FEES an ongoing theme in Vegas)
Anyhow, being my first LIVE magic show, I was thoroughly entertained. I could not see any trapdoors or wires or tricks from our seats, so none of the "magic" was ruined for us. We were definitely left scratching our heads at how he possibly could have done some of the things he was doing. For the record, he never did put the girl he sawed in half back together, so yeah.... she might be dead. Sure, the comedy that is built into the show is pretty stupid. Probably a lot of it is just to keep you distracted from other stuff that is going on, but I didn't care, I was just there to be entertained. We were willing to be entertained by it all, so we had a great time.
We did, like other reviewers stated, think Criss was overly into himself. Yeah, there was a lot of unnecessary videos of his childhood and TV show, etc. I assume this filler must be in there for sets to be built in the background or something. Again, it was a strange, but we didn't let it ruin our good time.
We also though it was hilarious how after every illusion he performs he yells "YEAHHH!". hahaha. We now have a little part of Criss with us in our every day lives because whenever I do something cool around the house, like say.... put whip cream on top of a sundae, I yell "YEAAHHH!" at my girlfriend. It makes me laugh at least!
LOL. just thinking about it makes me laugh.
Also, I thought the soundtrack to the show was pretty decent... if you are into loud, rock, digital music. It was LOUD. I could have done without the extra LOUD part, but if you are into rock/digital type music, I think you will enjoy the soundtrack. Not sure what its called.... sounds like something Skrillex would play or something along those lines.
