| - Paul's Yelp Elite Rating: 5 Stars (Boutique Local Wine Store)
Another establishment that I just don't come to as often as I'd like. This store is what I call a "boutique" wine shop, in that although the shop is small and selection limited, it is VERY WELL selected. They seem to carry a few wines that other larger wine retailers don't carry.
I met Leslie, the "Wine Goddess" who is very knowledgeable and friendly, and will help you make a great selection for whatever budget you're one. She steered me to a great Oregon Pinot Noir from the GREAT 2008 vintage (not a lot of those left out there), and it was under $40! I bought it and served it that night (to a couple other Yelp Elites) and they all loved it, especially Gianna's husband Micah, who isn't a huge wine afficionado like I am. I was so happy that Leslie helped make that selection! So thank you!
They also have an Enomatic wine dispensing system, where you can buy a glass by however many ounces you wish to pay for. I love this concept. You can try a wine before you buy it....sure the more expensive ones cost more to sip on, but it can save you much $$$ if you try it and don't like it, or don't think it's worth the price. I also love the idea of walking around a wine shop sipping on wine. Like, DUHHHH.
This shop also has free tastings on select days, and they offer wine classes, one of which I will be taking in the near future, on wines of Italy. I can't wait!
So when you go to Fran's, Fiamma, or Ru Sans, come into this wonderful wine shop and see what they're offering in their Enomatic, and have a glass or 2, or 3. Say hi to Leslie while you're there!
