I've only been to one other music festival but it's easy to see how good Life is Beautiful is. It covers a huge footprint but once you're inside it feels like you have the run of the town. They opened up some back alleys this year so getting from stage to stage is way easier. It was also ridiculously easy to get a Lyft, even while leaving at the end of the night after the headliner finished. The great thing is you can walk out of the festival and be in downtown Las Vegas, you're not isolated in a field or far away venue.
The food and beverage really sets Life is Beautiful apart. So many vendors from Vegas and beyond, craft beer, craft cocktails. Everything you could want. Some highlights of this last weekend include Korean tacos, Indian masala dosa, BBQ chicken nachos, and an ice cream sandwich made with a glazed donut. Yes there is a ton of variety and I highly suggest trying everything you can. There's also a lot of art to be seen, make sure you check out the art motel and all of the murals that change every few years.
Scheduling of bands is never going to please everyone, and we were able to see most of what we wanted to. It is sometimes worth it to camp out for an hour or so before your favorite artists to get a good spot. If you get the VIP passes there are side areas at the Ambassador and Downtown stages that make it way easier to get up to the front. There are also way nicer bathrooms and separate bars. I honestly think VIP is worth it. Seems like Life is Beautiful has finally turned into the "sell out in 30 min" festival so be sure to get your tickets when they go on sale from now on!
