  • I wanted to recognize Dave Macy of Home Safe Home Inspections. I tried to have Dave inspect my home after reviewing numerous positive online reviews and comments. Dave talked to me for 15-20 minutes because he wanted to understand the problems I was experiencing. One of the problems was two brick encased windows. He let me know he didn't believe he possessed the necessary tools/infrared equipment to definitively diagnose the problems as I explained them. So, he refers me to another home inspector who he believed could provide an economical remedy. Who does this in today's world???? Add Dave Macy to such a list. Dave took the time to listen. He provided suggestions on where to investigate some of the other problems I was experiencing, but he turned the job down. I thanked him for his time, but more importantly for his integrity....since he didn't want to take the chance that his fee would not resolve ALL my concerns. Ironically, the home inspector he referred spoke highly of Dave's work product as a fellow board Certified Master Inspector (CMI). What's not to like about Dave, even though he chose to pass on my project. You don't get this type of integrity from people today. Thank you Dave, but in retrospect, I should have hired you just based on your honesty and integrity!
