  • This place is bad new if you love your dogs. The lake has parasites and bad bacteria living in it just waiting for your dog to ingest it and get sick or die from. The dirt that our dogs roll, play and dry themselves off with is crawling with ticks and fleas. Not to mention the active mine field you walk through just to get to where you wanna go. Or the dog owners who should have taken an obedience class with there dogs just learn some manners. The town of Gilbert should clean the lake from germs and bacteria which are harmful to our pets. Some people spend a lot of money on dogs just to come here to have them get sick or die. If your dog is mean then keep them at home. If you bring little kids then don't be mad if they get knocked down or barked at. There are people parks for your kids. There should be a huge fine handed out right away if you don't pick up you dogs solid waste. A ranger should be there to give them a ticket on the spot. If a dollar bill was on the ground people would bend over to pick it up. If you got a $500 fine for not picking up your pets waste you might not do it again. This park has a lot of great features and I feel it would be 5 star worthy if it was better maintained. My dog drinks from lakes and rivers all the time and I have no problem letting her drink from it. But for a funded dog park I shouldn't have to worry about the water quality she is drinking or playing in. I love my dog to bad she wont be going to Cosmo to play any more. Which sucks for me because I could just walk there from home. Make sure your dogs have all there shots, a flea/tick collar and a friendly vet to take care of them if you decide to go. And try to ignore the dumb dog owners.
