After a handful of visits, it is with my tastebuds decision that the milk teas are not that bad. They may pull on the sweeter end so the safest deal is to order it less sweet...and if you wanna go sweeter, let 'em know so they can adjust. Better to go less sweet than starting off with too sweet.
I have tried the Hokkaido milk tea and I really had wish I dropped the sweetness to just 25 percent. I found it to be pretty sweet at 75. Taro milk tea wasn't so bad either. I've also their pineapple black tea, and the aloe vera honey juice. They aloe vera tasted very refreshing and the honey was pretty evident.
The winner for me at Ding's of all that I've had....is their strawberry black tea. When I frequent boba/tea shops, I have the need to order it if on the menu. I'm very anal about the type of strawberry base used. This spot nailed it for my buds. I asked to sample their strawberry black tea because I've wasted 4 bucks many times over on some crap strawberry black tea. Not tooodaaay-aye. They were kind enough to accommodate my request even though there seemed to be a quick hesitation. As soon as I seen the pulpy strawberry mush, my eyes widened and the cashier asked me if i thought they used the generic tasting stuff. I'm like yeah...and glad to see you guys don't!
Every visit we have experienced a welcoming one. Their decor is cute and there's definitely tables big enough to do some.work.on give they aren't all taken. The times we have gone in, there was never a line and tables were a given. What I also.love about Ding Tea is that they aren't squished up somewhere in Chinatown where parking is bout-a-bitch. Ammmmmple parking. At night when the area starts looking suspect, you'll certainly find front row.parking.
Definitely recommend giving them a shot!
Stroller friendly! Since the shop isn't too big and you don't intend on sitting in there...save yourself the hassle by not rolling one in.
Enjoy!
