| - I paid $30 for this hotel room. It is exactly what I would expect for the price: thin saggy mattress, moderately clean, hairs in the bathroom, funny smell, dingy carpet. Although it's not "nice" per se, it's definitely not the most disgusting room you'll ever stay in (you're reading reviews for a Super 8, let's be honest). The TV was a relatively large LCD, which is good if you want that sort of thing. Some of the furnishings even seem somewhat new, although the most important piece of furniture - the bed - was creaky and perhaps predated my birth.
The walls are thin; you will definitely hear your upstairs neighbor stomping around like a baby elephant, and partiers coming back at 4am. I ended up with a room near the front that got all the noise from the road and lobby. Maybe try to ask for one in the back.
Overall, the room is fine for a quick & affordable pit stop on a cross-country road trip (the reason for my stay), and it's near enough to Vegas attractions that it may appeal to budget vacationers. Just bring some flip flops.
Some location notes: yeah, this place is somewhat scary. There were some homeless people on the premises. I am a solo female traveler who has traveled all over the world and stayed in all manner of sketchy accommodations, and in the future I'd probably pay 2-3x as much for a nicer place. But honestly, it was fine.
Pet owners: although I thought all Super 8s let you have pets, apparently this one is the exception. They make you sign something saying you won't bring a dog in the room beforehand, and charge a $100 deposit that they refund afterward (it takes awhile). But I did see several pet owners, and there is a small neighborhood behind the hotel if you need to walk to your dog.
