  • I have a real soft spot for this store as it more often than not stocks something useful in my effort to "green-over" my lifestyle. Recently, I just bought a pack of stainless steel straws that I know I will enjoy for years to come. They carry items for pretty much all your basic lifestyle needs. Water bottles, lunch containers, canvas bags, etc. A useful note I made on a previous trip is that they sell some liquid items by bulk. So instead of buying another bottle of Dr Bronner's, I can easily refill an empty bottle at Grassroots. If they expanded their bulk section to include a wider range of products, I'd be a very happy customer! My one minor criticism is that I wish they kept their stock in a more organized way that is in sync with their online shop. I've been told that what's literally in their basement is what comprises their online shop. Though they've been in the green retail game for some 20 odd years, it feels as though their online shop could use some updating. Especially regarding stock! I have searched for products seen in store to no avail on the website. Not a big deal as I live in the area, but for those who don't and wish to make purchases, they might be missing out on some products because the catalogue isn't complete. Anyway, Grassroots, you're great, but you could be even better. Word to the wise: Live Green discounts apply here!
