It was Sunday around noon and there was a bit of a line at the ticket counter to get in, but we couldn't have waited in line more than 20 minutes. If we had, our 7 YO would have lost her mind. We were inside before we knew it and the first thing we noticed were the fishes in glass balls above our heads. Unique touch. We passed on the photo and moved straight into the aquarium.
It wasn't long before we had made our way around the first floor of exhibits when we reached the elevator (having the baby stroller made the escalator experience a loss. Perhaps they could make a fun surround with fishes like the escalator?) I thought this was it and was about to be super disappointed, but as we hit the next floor there was much more to experience. Whew!
The baby has since fallen fast asleep and the 7 YO is rushing from fish tank to fish tank. 'Guess what?! The Dory fish isn't called Dory, it's a blue tang!' Yes, that is correct. I am glad they are making that very obvious and picked out a few more of the famous fishes in the movie as well. Nice touch, OdySea.
We skip the 3D movie since the line was super long and move on to the next section and as we come up to the carousel, instead of the attendant being super anti-stroller (our 5 mo was still sound asleep), she understood that the baby shouldn't be taken out and we are whisked into the front row in the handicap seats so that we can put the stroller beside us. No grief, just people doing their job to facilitate the large number of people quickly and efficiently. WELL DONE!
I was a bit put off by the aggressive nature of the husband/wife team's story of how they founded OdySea, but the diver in the tank talking to us and the mc was a super nice touch and the shark tank was amazing to see.
All in all I was super impressed and found our experience to be absolutely worth the money. We will definitely return.
