  • I used to come here as kid back in the hotels glory days. Well those days are long gone but the Trop has done ok trying to keep up its image, including painting the entire hotel white in the outside to disguise the old outdated facade. The rolls were updated a while ago so they are somewhat up to date. As far as amenities goes, the Tropicana can't compete with other hotels but the location on the strip is solid. If the room is significantly cheaper ( at least $40 cheaper) than other hotels like the MGM, I would consider staying here. Otherwise I would stay elsewhere.
