  • It's always nice to have a bakery close to home, so the people in this community of Bowness must love having this bakery here. I, however, wouldn't go out of my way to visit the Sweet Home Bakery. Firstly, I went in to buy rye bread but found out they only make it on Friday and Saturday, so I was a little disappointed. I decided I'd look around to find something else to buy, but nothing really struck me as delicious enough. The items that they had out looked good, but it also looked like they'd been sitting out for quite some time. I actually wondered at one point in time if they were fake and just on display to let us know what we could purchase. I found out this wasn't the case. The thing I like about Sweet Home was that they had a lot of yummy baked treats for sale. There were cookies, cupcakes, cinnamon buns, croissants, fruit cups, etc. That stuff looked really delicious. All-in-all, not on my top list of bakeries. I've got different ones closer to home that I could visit.
