  • After my 3rd Life is Beautiful, it's absolutely time to give some props to an extremely well organized event that seems to improve every year... Organization: Festival information is everywhere! The concert lineup schedule, maps for everything going on: , etc is on the app or on one of the signs strategically placed at each high volume street intersections. They also have LIB volunteers with "ask me" signs strolling around. All the signs for Food, Bars, merchandise, restrooms, the Main Stages, etc are all clearly visible from long distances. Value: Some will say the tickets are overpriced and they're definitely not cheap. I heard they do offer payment plans to assist with that. But it's very simple, if you think it's worth the experience, buy the tickets. If not, don't. It's very transparent of what they offer for each type of ticket. Music: It's a massive venue with 4 main stages and a music den. Something for everyone otherwise you wouldn't be paying to be there. The schedule keeps it easy of when to watch the artist you came to see but I'm most impressed that the schedule runs on time. Respect... Food and Booze: The food vendors improve every year. Lots of choices from food trucks and many of the hip local foodie joints. Fusion, traditional and specialty food galore. Bars are a plenty and if one has a line, take a short walk around and you'll find one that doesn't. Timing is everything. Art: Cool art murals on the downtown buildings throughout the festival. An indoor art exhibit by container park showcasing some great local artists and their work. Throughout the festival, you'll come across random urban art statues and old downtown las vegas buildings converted to art exhibits. VIP feedback: I keep getting asked if it's worth the price. There is no easy answer to that as everyone's love for music and for the performers every year is fluid. Here's my favorite VIP perks: Entrance: The dedicated VIP entrance makes it very easy to enter. Especially when going through the bag check line. Less bodies makes for an easier transition Bars: The VIP Bars by the Downtown Stage had literally no wait to get a drink. The longest wait was 10 minutes during the busiest times right after a headliner finished. Bathrooms: Same experience as the VIP Bars, except this time to pee. =) Also, the VIP bathrooms were full working bathrooms on trailers. Much more pleasant to use vs. Porta Potties I'm a casual music fan and I make sure I make it to Life is Beautiful every year. There's so much to see, do, eat, drink, party, etc. I've had some great memories there the last 3 years and I'll keep em coming if the festival continues. See ya there in 2018!
