  • [ Update: I had my nails from Venetian for 2 weeks before I needed to have them fixed - half the time that my nails usually last. They started to lift within days, developed cracks in a few within a week and the shellac chipped and lost it's shine almost immediately. I didn't even bother getting a fill , I had to get an entirely new set because the fill they did was so horrible it ruined the entire structure of my nails and I refused to continue building on their substandard work. If I could give no stars I would ] I went to Venetian to get my nails filled on Thanksgiving weekend, as my usual place was closed and I needed my nails done for a family gathering that night. To say the least I thoroughly regret my decision and my experience only further reinforced my love for my current nail salon (Bliss Nails). To start, all the employees were very abrupt and rude, giggling to each other and generally made me feel uncomfortable. I had my nails done by Tracy and she obviously rushed through my fill - finishing in well under 45 minutes. She went so quickly that she actually cut my pinky finger while filing my nails and I started bleeding. She tried to pass it off as a good thing cause I got to keep the nail file with my blood on it -_- Because this was a new salon to me and I didn't know their design capabilities - I opted for very plain nails - white stiletto's with a purple diamond top center. Even with a simple design she still managed to leave it lack luster. The polish is uneven and has bubbles in certain spots. She told me that the regular price would have been around $90 - as they charge for the fill, shellac, each individual diamond and extra to do stiletto nails (which my nails already were - she just had to fill them) She gave me a $20 discount because she cut me so I ended up paying $70 for a simple, yet less than impressive fill when my regular place is less than $50 no matter what I get. When finished she wiped my nails with the rubbing alcohol but did not offer me to wash my hands - as is the norm. I actually didn't even see a sink for me to use - leaving my fingers sticky and collecting fibers from my scarf until i was able to go home and wash my hands. Ultimately, I had a horrible experience, left unimpressed and I will not be returning to Venetian Nails under any circumstance and will not be recommending them to anyone. This place is not worth your time or money.
