  • Attended the happy hour event that is held on different evenings. This was my second occasion in the historic renovated building. If you ever have a chance to go to Steele Mansion, I'd recommend going. It's something to see! The home was built in the 1860's and was scheduled for demolition when a local family bought it in 2010 and completed a renovation and addition to create a 16 guest room inn with spaces for special events. The family paid close attention to all details and visiting the inn is an experience! Above that, it is currently family run and every guest is fully welcomed. During both events I've attended, all vacant guest rooms have the doors open and visitors are invited to walk through and see the individually themed rooms. The beds look super comfy and the bathrooms are all large and glamorous. For overnight guests, a breakfast is included. The bar area was gorgeous and comfortable. The wine, beer and cocktail selection were impressive in quality with very fair pricing. The service was excellent. I guess the inn does not have a restaurant license and may be the reason for my one little complaint. The appetizer selection was small, not many options. They were very nicely plated, were acceptable taste and texture, but not impressive. I really want to try their high tea and will be returning to experience that next I hope!
