| - I love farmers markets and this one is lovely! In the summer the inside portion sells arts and crafts and the food vendors are outside. There are lots of vendors to choose from for veggies, my favourite was the mushroom stand so many different varieties you don't see in the supermarket. The vendors are all very knowledgable about their products.
There were lots of prepared food options as well, I tried the tibetan dumplings came with some pickled slaw ($10 for 6pcs) a green smoothie with apple, kale, bananas and cinnamon ($6) and a breakfast sandwich with homemade sausage patty, green salsa, corn and grainy mustard $8 and it was amazing! the bun was so soft! I saw other tempting vendors including sushi, a Caribbean stall, veggie wraps and pizza, mini fried doughnuts and lots of baked goods!
It has such a great neighbourhood atmosphere lots of people out with their dogs and families with their children playing on the grass - lovely way to spend a saturday morning. It is easy to get to with public transit, less than 5 minutes walking off the streetcar.
I can't wait to go back, I have so many things left to try!
