| - Got the yelp coupon and was in the area. Took the wife, who doesn't really like sandwiches but I lured her with the thought of catfish, shrimp, and oysters. When we got there I was taken aback by the awful 70s diner decor and completely empty restaurant (at 1:30pm on Fri). There was an huge xmas tree (with a for sale sign in case you're interested) at the entrance with 50s music playing. Only thing "nola" was tacky beads on the lighting.
Gotta admit, I was worried more that my wife would prohibit me from making any more restaurant choices. I had already decided to get the Streetcar Po boy and decided maybe to cut my losses and split a large with my wife in case it was awful. Waitress was very nice. To my surprise when it came, it looked and tasted great. Stuffed with lots of seafood with side of cajun fries and coleslaw, I was very satisfied. But surprisingly, even the wife liked it. Drama averted.
Bottom line, Great food and service, but ambiance was terrible. A little pricey for a sandwich, but given the amount of seafood, it is worth it.
