Our water heater failed and started leaking from the top. My wife had recently seen an advertisement for YES. They quoted $2,350 for a 50 gallon water heater. This did include installation and a 6 year warranty. Yes would not break down the costs between the unit and installation saying that it was all just one price. I don't understand this logic. The quote seemed really high to me so we said no. I quickly went online and found that I could buy a Rheem 50 gallon, 9 year warranty water heater from Home Depot for $450. I did just that. I got my neighbor to help me unload it and I had it up and running in no time. I understand that service and installation will cost extra. However, the amount they appear to be charging for the service seems really, really high. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews prior to calling them. I could have saved some time. I will now be reading Yelp before I call any type of service company.
